Why Convert Images to PDF?
Converting images to PDF is one of the most common document tasks. PDF is the universal format for sharing documents professionally — it preserves layout, is viewable on every device, can be signed, annotated and protected. Images as PDFs are easier to email, print, archive, and share than raw image files.
Common use cases include combining photos into a single document, sending scanned documents professionally, creating photo books, submitting image-based forms as PDF, and archiving visual records. ToolsMatic converts all your images entirely inside your browser — no upload, no server, no privacy risk.
How to Convert JPG to PDF on ToolsMatic
- Step 1 — Upload images: Drag and drop your JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF or BMP files onto the upload zone or click to browse. You can select multiple images at once and add up to 50 total.
- Step 2 — Reorder if needed: Drag image cards to rearrange them. Each card shows a thumbnail, filename, dimensions and file size. The PDF page order will match the card order exactly.
- Step 3 — Configure settings: Choose your page size, image fit mode, margin and quality. Settings apply to all images in the conversion.
- Step 4 — Download: Click Convert to PDF. Your PDF downloads instantly with one image per page.
Supported Image Formats
JPG / JPEG
The most common photo format. JPG images are embedded directly using pdf-lib's embedJpg method which preserves the JPEG compression without re-encoding at full quality.
PNG
PNG images support transparency which is preserved in the PDF output. Screenshots, logos, and graphics with transparent backgrounds work perfectly.
WEBP, GIF, BMP
These formats are first converted to PNG using the browser's Canvas API before embedding in the PDF. This ensures maximum compatibility across all PDF viewers.
Page Size Options Explained
Fit to Image (Default)
Each PDF page is sized to exactly match the image dimensions converted from pixels to PDF points (at 96 DPI). This preserves the original image size without any scaling or white borders.
Standard Page Sizes (A4, Letter)
Images are scaled to fit within the chosen page size while preserving their aspect ratio. A4 Portrait is the international standard used by most businesses and academic institutions.
